Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Huntingdon County, PA origin, possibly Henry Glazier, circa 1845, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flared collar, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front with a brushed flowering vine design, applied over slip-coated clay. Brushed number "2" under one handle. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent condition with some light surface wear to midsection, minor wear to one handle, and a small in-the-firing ping to side of jar. Jar was misshapen during the firing.
