Extremely Rare Pint-Sized Stoneware Jug, Stamped "Wm PECKER", Merrimacport, MA, early 19th century, small-sized jug with slender form, semi-squared spout molding, and applied handle, impressed at the shoulder with the large maker's mark, "Wm. PECKER". Most well-known for his redware products, Pecker also produced stoneware on a smaller scale. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, purchased by the consignor decades ago. Small spout chips. A 5/8" base chip and other minor base chips. A thin, 1 1/8" piece of clay, which adhered to side of jug during the firing. H 9".
