Three Pieces of Rare Signed Pottery Tableware, American, 19th century, a yellowware bowl, stamped on underside, "AMERICAN POTTERY CO. / JERSEY, CITY.", circa 1838-1845; a Rockingham hunt scene pitcher, stamped on underside, "NICHOLS & ALFORD / MANUFACTURERS / 1854 / BURLINGTON, VT.", circa 1854; and a lidded Rockingham teapot with George Washington bust, stamped on underside, "S.P. CO", the lid impressed "M" on underside, Speeler Pottery Co., Trenton, NJ, circa 1860-1879. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market lot, purchased by the consignor decades ago. Bowl with staining and three thin cracks from rim, the longest measuring 3". Pitcher with reattached handle, including coloring where it meets the rim and body, restoration to spout, two tiny restored surface flakes, a few base chips, two of which are filled and colored. Teapot with restoration to end of spout, some high point wear, crazing to underside extending a short distance onto base, and a tiny chip to edge of lid. tiny chip to edge.
