Two Slip-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, PA and New England origin, circa 1870-1900, a one-gallon Bristol-slip-glazed jug with the slip-trailed Albany slip advertising, "Breman & Ward / W. Barre / Pa", stamped "JAMES RYAN / PITTSTON PA"; paired with a two-gallon advertising jug with stylized cobalt floral decoration, stamped "THOMAS MC'QUAID / WEBSTER MASS.", attributed to F.B. Norton, Worcester, MA. Ryan jug with a spout chio and tiny spout nick, an in-the-firing, partially-glazed-over base chip, and some in-the-firing mottling to surface. McQuaid jug with long in-the-firing spider lines to side and shoulder, as well as a minor spout chip and tiny spout nick.
