Four Stoneware Bottles, Northeastern U.S. origin, 19th century, one with cobalt-decorated spout and cobalt-highlighted advertising, "PENTUCKET ALE / BOTTLE NOT SOLD"; one salt-glazed example with streaked Albany slip, stamped "C.G. HALEY & CO / CALIFORNIA POP. / PATENTED OCT. 29. 1872"; one salt-glazed example with streaked Albany slip, stamped "CALIFORNIA / POP / Patd Oct 29 72"; and one stamped, "SPARKLING CIDER, / I.S. KETCHAM, / JERICHO, L.I.". Pentucket Ale bottle with shallow in-the-firing chipping to top of spout, wear to base of neck, as well as wear and a minor chip to base of bottle. Haley bottle with a spout chip, a glazed-over lime ping to base, and wear to base of neck. California pop bottle with light wear to base of neck, a 1 1/4" glazed-over line to base, and shallow chips to base, most or all of which occurred in the firing. Cider bottle with restored spout, the base with a small unrestored chip, including short line. H (of tallest) 10 3/4".
