Five Pieces of Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware, Southern U.S. origin, late 19th century, a cylindrical jar with areas of rutile; an ovoid canning jar with flared mouth; a one-gallon ovoid jar with applied handles; a three-gallon ovoid jar with applied handles, impressed "3"; and a half-gallon jug with kiln brick adhered to top, ex-Harmer Rooke Galleries, New York, NY. Two smaller jars in excellent condition. One-gallon jar with significant cracks, reglued section, and rim chips, the rim secured with a wire. Three-gallon jar with tight Y-shaped line in underside as well as wear to rim and handles. Jug with adhered brick with gritty residue on underside.
