Fine Redware Plate with Alternating Three-Color Slip Decoration, Pennsylvania origin, probably Berks County, 19th century, the interior heavily-decorated with nine alternating wavy lines of copper, manganese, and cream-colored slip. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, purchased in Pennsylvania long ago. Chips and wear to edge. A 2 1/2" hairline from rim. A few small flakes to interior and light surface wear to interior. Diameter 9 3/8".
