Three Pieces of Salt-Glazed Stoneware, American, 19th century, a rare one-gallon ovoid jug with tooled spout, stamped "GRUBE'S WHISKY", probably Ohio River Valley; a rundlet with tooled banding, probably Northeastern U.S. origin; and a two-gallon pitcher, attributed to J.M. Hickerson, Strasburg, VA, circa 1885. Jug in excellent condition. Rundlet with some shallow, in-the-firing chipping along edge and old black paint smear to surface. Pitcher with loss to rim, some painted restoration to spout, a tiny rim nick, and two tiny base nicks.
