Fine Copper-Glazed Redware Jug Bank, attributed to George Wagner, Carbon County, PA, late 19th century, ovoid form with footed base, knob finial, and applied handle, the shoulder with vertically-carved slot. Surface covered in a heavy, green copper glaze with manganese stripes. Excellent color. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a sixty-year private collection. A 1/4" reglued base chip. Colored chips to slot. Wear to lower handle terminal. Very minor wear to finial. H 4 1/4".
