Three Pieces of New York City Advertising Stoneware, circa 1875, a one-gallon jug, impressed with cobalt-highlighted advertising, "EDWARD KANES SON / 24-26-28 UNION ST. / 5 PRESIDENT ST SOUTH BLYN / N. Y. BRANCH 200 AVE A / GOWANUS BRANCH 570 3RD AVE"; a one-and-a-half-gallon jar with cobalt foliate decoration, impressed with the cobalt-highlighted advertising, "S. BLUMENTHAL & CO / 373 & 375 8TH AVE / NEW YORK"; and a two-gallon jug with brushed cobalt "2", impressed with cobalt-highlighted advertising, "PETER LYNCH & CO. / GROCERS / 41 VESEY ST N Y". One-gallon jug with a glazed-over iron ping to front. One-and-a-half-gallon jar with staining to surface and two in-the-firing lines at base on reverse, continuing a short distance onto underside. Two-gallon jug with a crack and small chip to handle, a minor in-the-firing chip to spout, a small chip and short line to shoulder, a long faint horizontal line at base, base chips, and some staining.
