Fine Redware Plate with Copper-Slip Foliate Motif, Pennsylvania origin, possibly Berks County, 19th century, featuring a fan-shaped foliate design resembling seaweed, executed in cream-colored slip with green copper flecking throughout. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from an eighty-year private collection. Three flakes to interior. A shallow chip to exterior of rim and a few minor rim nicks. Diameter 8".
