Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "WHITES' BINGHAMTON", New York State origin, circa 1860, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, decorated with a folky slip-trailed design of a stem with scrolled base, spotted leaves, and fan-shaped blossoms. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A recessed contact mark to one side, a salt drip to opposite side, an iron ping to base. A 7/8" spout chip, a second glazed-over spout chip, and a small chip to top of spout.
