Fine One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "R.C.R. / PHILA.," Richard Clinton Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with large-footed base and tooled collar, decorated on the front with two brushed tulips emanating from the base. Collar decorated with swags. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Impressed on collar with "R.C.R." maker's mark beside a one-and-a-half-gallon capacity mark. Very nice condition with a chip to underside at edge, a small in-the-firing chip to rim on reverse, and a small chip to right side of spout.
