Two Pieces of Wisconsin Pottery, Columbus, WI, 1990, an elaborate water cooler with twisted handles and incised bird, floral, and fish decorations on the front, reverse, and sides, highlighted in cobalt and Albany slip. Reverse incised with a biblical verse from Jeremiah: "Then I went down to the potter's house and behold he brought a work on the wheel, and it seemed good to the potter to make it". Includes original lid with hand-modeled figure of a potter and a bear surrounded by various wares. Cooler paired with a bank featuring a rooster finial and elaborate cobalt floral decoration. Cooler in excellent condition, including metal spigot. Bank with loss to top of rooster's head. H (of cooler including lid) 20 1/2".
