Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Double-Bird Decoration, Stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / & CO., / FORT EDWARD. N.Y", circa 1875, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of two crossed birds perched in the crook of a tree. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Staining to surface. A 5" line on reverse, extending from shoulder to midsection. Chips to interior of rim. Some tight lines to underside.
