Three Brown Brothers, Huntington, Long Island Stoneware Crocks, New York State origin, circa 1870-1905, a four-gallon crock with stenciled cobalt rose motif and one-and-a-half-gallon crock with stenciled cobalt grapes motif, both stamped "BROWN BROTHER , / HUNTINGTON, / L.I."; together with three-gallon crock with brushed cobalt floral-and-strawberry design, stamped "BROWN BROTHERS / HUNTINGTON / L.I.". Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. Rose crock with restoration to right side, right handle, and underside, as well as two short, unrestored cracks from rim. Grapes crock with restored cracks on reverse and an unrestored tiny handle nick. Floral jar with significant restoration to underside, base, and right side of jar's front.
