Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, American, 19th century, a quart-sized, ovoid pitcher with Bristol-type glaze augmented with cobalt throughout, decorated on the collar and midsection with cobalt foliate decoration, Philadelphia, PA origin, second half 19th century; paired with a small-sized, ovoid jar with three cobalt foliate motifs, Beaver, PA origin, circa 1860. Pitcher with a glazed-over rim chip, shallow chipping to base, and a 7/8" chip to underside. Jar in very nice condition with a small rim chip. H (of pitcher) 7 1/4".
