Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Coggled Bird-and-Leaf Motif, attributed to Branch Green, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1820, ovoid pitcher with tooled shoulder and short cylindrical collar, decorated around the shoulder with a coggled and cobalt-highlighted design of a bird holding a leaf in its beak. One of a few coggle-decorated Branch Green pitchers we are aware of. Hairline through handle. Base chips. H 13".
