Glazed Redware Bowl with Three-Color Slip Decoration, Mid-Atlantic origin, second or third quarter 19th century, tapered bowl with semi-rounded rim, the interior decorated with several bands of copper slip below a wide band of manganese sponging. Rim area decorated with a wavy band of cream-colored slip above a band of copper slip. Wear to interior, including heavy losses to copper slip below rim and interior base area. A sealed 3 1/2" crack from rim, extending 1" onto underside. H 3" ; Diameter 9 7/8".
