Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Figure of a Pig, American, possibly Southern U.S., second half 19th century, hand-modeled figure of a pig with incised details to face and hooves, the surface covered in a green alkaline glaze with small iron slip decoration to body and iron slip accents to eyes. Unglazed bottoms of feet reveal gray stoneware clay. Losses to ears and a chip to one foot. L 6 3/4".
