Two Sewertile Boy's Head Sculptures, Ohio origin, 20th century, both produced from the same mold, a glazed example, paired an unglazed example in the form of a bank with slot in top of head, paired with a glazed example. Both with original, open undersides. Provenance: From a recently-surfaced collection of sewertile amassed during the 1960s and 1970s, many purchased directly from the potters themselves. Glazed example with a small base chip and a glaze drip to base. Bank in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (of bank) 3 3/4".
