Scarce One-Gallon Canonsburg, PA Stoneware Advertising Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising "GEO. H. LOVE. / CANONBURGH. / PA.". Stenciled flourish at center. Cobalt stripes to shoulder and base. Note the misspelling of the town Canonsburgh as "CANONBURGH". Excellent condition with two base chips on left side of jar.
