Two Pieces of Salt-Glazed Stoneware, Northeastern U.S. origin, 19th century, a two-gallon cylindrical crock with stylized slip-trailed decoration, stamped "A.K. BALLARD / BURLINGTON, VT", circa 1870; paired with a one-gallon syrup jug with light Albany slip and heavy salt glaze, stamped "E.W. FARRINGTON, / ELMIRA, N.Y.", circa 1890. Ballard crock with chips to one handle, a chip to opposite handle, and a rim chip on reverse with thin 5" crack descending from it. Farrington jug with two sections of handle reglued.
