Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Grapevine Decoration, attributed to the Ballard Pottery, Burlington, VT, circa 1865, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a wavy vine bearing leaves and a grape cluster. Very nice condition with a 1 3/8" hairline above one handle and some light water glass staining to exterior.
