Two Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Bird Decoration, New York State and New England origin, circa 1870, a four-gallon jug with slip-trailed decoration of a crested bird atop a foliate spray, stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON VT"; paired with a two-gallon jug with slip-trailed decoration of a bird perched on a branch, attributed to Whites Utica. Norton jug with a 2" chip to underside at edge, a small base chip, and staining to surface. Unsigned jug with salt drips to left side, staining, and spout chips.
