Scarce Quart-Sized Stoneware Jug with Coggled Vine Decoration, attributed to Branch Green, Philadelphia, PA or possibly Old Bridge, NJ origin, early 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout and applied handle, decorated with a coggled vine motif around the shoulder, covered in a wide band of cobalt slip. Desirable size and unusual coggle pattern for this maker. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with minor wear to lower handle terminal. H 7 1/2".
