Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, ovoid jar with squared rim and applied tab handles, decorated around the shoulder with a vine bearing large groups of graduated leaves. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Essentially as-made condition. Jar does not sit flat.
