Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Kentucky Advertising, attributed to James Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring the crisply-stenciled advertising "Bayless McCarthey / & Co. / Louisville. / Ky.". Very nice condition with a shallow 1 1/8" chip to underside, located at edge of jar's front, and a minor, glazed-over chip to rim on reverse. H 7 1/2".
