Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Alexandria, VA Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising "E.J. MILLER & CO. / DEALERS IN / CHINA AND / GLASS WARE. / ALEXANDRIA. VA". Very nice condition with a faint Y-shaped hairline on underside, extending 1 1/4" onto base.
