Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WEST TROY / N.Y. / POTTERY", circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tapered spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a bird with crest and ringed neck, perched on leaf with dotted accents. Some staining. Light surface wear to midsection. A salt drip to front. Spout chips, including two adjacent chips to side of spout, measuring a total of 1". A small base chip on reverse.
