Unusual Three-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Rooster Decoration, attributed to the Whites Pottery, Utica, NY, circa 1875-1885, ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, flared collar, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed design of a rooster standing atop a flowering vine. Restoration to collar right side of churn. Some restoration to right handle. Area of restoration on reverse. Typical wear to inner rim where a lid would rest.
