Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "S. HART & SON.", Fulton, NY, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tall collar, rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird with spotted body and highlighted wing, perched on a looping flourish. Slip-trailed "2" with flourish above. Some staining. A tiny chip to interior for rim. A tiny base nick on reverse. Some short lines to base area. A glazed-over line on interior of rim, not visible on exterior.
