Three Pieces of Northeastern U.S. Stoneware, circa 1875, a two-gallon jar with cobalt floral decoration and heavy cobalt spatter, stamped "WHITES UTICA"; a four-gallon crock with cobalt spotted flower decoration, stamped "W. HART / OGDENSBURGH"; and a four-gallon crock with fan-shaped floral decoration, stamped "BALLARD / BURLINGTON VT". Whites Utica jar with heavy water glass staining to interior and exterior and shallow chipping to base and a 1 1/2" flake to base. Hart crock with three cracks from rim, some fry to cobalt, wear to left side of crock, and a stone ping to left side of front, as well as a few iron pings on reverse. Ballard crock with shallow chips to interior of rim, a small nick to end of one handle, and some small iron pings.
