Fine Slip-Decorated Redware Plate with Tulip Motif, Dryville, PA origin, 19th century, with coggled edge, the interior decorated in yellow slip with a large tulip featuring splayed petals and a wavy center. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, purchased by the consignor in the 1970s. Rim chips. Three cracks from edge, measuring 6", 3", and 2 3/4". Two small flakes to interior. Light surface wear to interior. Diameter 9 1/8".
