Very Rare Slip-Decorated Redware Charger with Star Motif, Huntington, Long Island, New York origin, circa 1807-1860, with coggled edge, decorated with five impressed yellow-slip stars surrounding a brushed slip circle with star at center. This charger is the first Huntington example bearing this decoration we have seen. An approximately 8" crack from edge with a fairly-tight, approximately 8" Y-shaped line extending through it. Losses to slip. A shallow 5/8" rim chip and two other minor rim chips. Diameter 13".
