Scarce Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Grapes Decoration, Stamped "SEYMOUR & BOSWORTH / HARTFORD, CONN", circa 1875, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with an elaborate slip-trailed design of two facing clusters of grapes with heavily-leafed vines. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A minor horizontal surface line at base on right side of crock. Three in-the-firing base chips on side of crock.
