Rare Yellowware Hunt Scene Pitcher, Stamped "AMERICAN POTTERY CO. /JERSEY CITY, N.J.", circa 1833-1850, with hound handle, the body decorated with a relief design of hounds overtaking a boar and a deer, the shoulder and collar featuring floral and grapevine motifs. Underside impressed with American Pottery Co. maker's mark. Majority of hound handle broken off as a single piece and reglued, including a filled 1" x 1/2" area at upper handle terminal, and a filled 7/8" sliver to left of upper handle terminal. A small chip to hound's nose. Some light staining. H 10".
