Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird-on-Stump Decoration, Stamped "FULPER BROS. / FLEMINGTON, N.J.", fourth quarter 19th century, cylindrical jug with tall spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird perched on a tree stump with stylized ground below. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Two iron pings near base, the larger of the two measuring 1 1/2". A reglued 3/4" chip on interior of spout. A small base chip on reverse.
