One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J.M. PRUDEN / ELIZABETH N-J", mid 19th century, semi-ovoid jug with tapered spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a circular flower blossom or star surrounded by a vine border. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. An unusual design. Two shallow, glazed-over spout chips and a minor flake to top edge of spout. A stone ping to bottom edge on side of jug. A thin 7/8" stone ping to right side of jug. Spots of fry to center of design.
