Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Incised Floral Decoration, Old Bridge, NJ origin, circa 1820, highly-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and slightly-flared rim, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted floral design with cluster-shaped blossom. Brushed splayed-leaf design on reverse. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Numerous rim chips. A tight 11 1/4" crack to left side of front. Vertical lines at base, the longest being a Y-shaped line measuring 2 1/2". A tight spider line to underside.
