Two New York State Stoneware Syrup Jugs, third quarter 19th century, a three-gallon syrup jug with large brushed cobalt floral decoration, stamped "N. CLARK JR / ATHENS NY", paired with a one-gallon syrup jug with slip-trailed cobalt floral decoration, stamped "PORTER & FRASER, / WEST TROY NY". Porter & Fraser jug with loss to right side of spout, staining to surface, and wear to cobalt. Clark jug with large chip to tip of spout, a hairline extending partway through handle, and a minor fleck of fry to base of decoration.
