Unusual One-Quart Stoneware Presentation Jug, Incised "N.C. Vanderslice", New York State or New Jersey origin, circa 1845, ovoid jug with semi-squared rim, decorated with a brushed flower above the incised and cobalt-highlighted name "N.C. Vanderslice". Additional dashed accents below and flanking name. Cobalt highlight to lower handle terminal. Exceptional size. A glazed-over dent to side of spout. A minor chip to underside at bottom edge. H 7 1/4".
