Rare Tennessee Stoneware Distillery Jug, Southern or Midwestern U.S. origin, late 19th century, squat-shaped, cylindrical jug with recessed bottom half, the surface covered in a streaky Albany slip glaze and incised with the inscription "Pitt Bros / Distillers & Liquor Dealers / Springfiled / T". Two chips to underside, the larger measuring 2 1/4", both possibly having occurred in the firing. A shallow 3/4" spout chip.
