Large-Sized Rockingham Spaniel on Base, probably East Liverpool, Ohio, third quarter 19th century, the swell-bodied figure of a dog with curled tail and separated front legs, seated atop an oblong base with stylized column and star motif. Stylized, molded fur throughout dog with hand-incised details to chest, upper legs, back, and tail. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a 1 1/2" in-the-firing separation line on interior of base, not visible on exterior. L 10 1/2" ; H 11 1/2".
