Unusual Folk Art Pottery Figure of a Dog, probably Ohio origin, second half 19th century, hand-modeled figure of a dog on base with heavily-incised detail to legs and tail. Body with impressed star and circle decoration. Impressed star and triangle designs at neck. Rectangular base with incised cross-hatching on underside. Wear to muzzle. In-the-firing line in base. A tiny nick to bottom edge of base. H 5" ; L 3 7/8".
