Two R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA Stoneware Jars, circa 1875, one-gallon and one-and-a-half-gallon jars, both of similar cylindrical form. One-gallon jar decorated with three double-flower motifs around the body. One-and-a-half-gallon jar decorated with three similar drooping floral motifs. One-gallon jar in essentially as-made condition with in-the-firing dryness to surface. One-and-a-half-gallon jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition.
