Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870, ovoid-bodied pitcher with footed base, tooled collar, and applied handle, decorated with three brushed drooping flowers around the body. Cobalt swags flank the spout and decorate each side of the collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Heavy chipping to base. Large spout chip. Short hairline from rim on side of pitcher, primarily visible on interior. Some bubbled spots to clay. A small iron ping to underside.
