Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "R.C.R. / PHILA.," Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870, approximately three-quart, ovoid form with tooled shoulder, decorated around the circumference with a series of connected swags. Impressed with "R.C.R." maker's mark at base. Essentially as-made condition with dark, in-the-firing flashing to surface. H 8".
