Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral and Grapes Decoration, Stamped "BROWN BROTHERS, / HUNTINGTON, / L.I.", circa 1885-1905, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed design of crossed flowers with spotted intersection and stylized grape cluster below. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. Excelllent, essentially as-made condition with a faint 3" Y-shaped line on underside, not visible on interior.
