Three-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped Twice "BROWN BROTHER , / HUNTINGTON, / L.I.", circa 1870-1885, ovoid form with tooled shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed design of three conjoined tulips. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark and capacity mark. Reverse shoulder impressed with a second inverted Brown Brother maker's mark. Bottom of churn is raised, keeping the vessel from sitting perfectly flat. Some typical minor wear to inner rim where a lid would rest.
